Cognitive Domains in Assessment

Educational evaluation has a broad scope, namely: the cognitive domain, the affective domain, the psychomotor domain. Today's education world collaborates on these three scopes. But the realization is not perfect because many individuals do not know about it. That way we on this occasion are motivated to explore material about the scope of educational evaluation.
Cognitive Domains in Assessment

This domain has six levels of ability, which are as follows.
Knowledge
Knowledge (knowledge), which is the level of ability that requires students to be able to recognize or know the existence of concepts, principles, facts or terms without having to understand or be able to use them.
Operational verbs that can be used include:
a) Define, give, identify, name,
b) Completing the list
c) Matching
d) Mention
e) Make an outline

Comprehension
Comprehension, which is the level of ability that requires students to understand or understand the subject matter conveyed by the teacher and can use it without having to link it with other things.

This ability is further elaborated into three, namely translating, interpreting, and extrapolating.

Application (application)
Application (application), namely the level of ability that requires students to use general ideas, procedures or methods, principles, and theories in new and concrete situations.
Analysis (analysis)
Analysis (analysis), namely the level of ability that requires students to describe a particular situation or situation into the elements or components.
The ability of analysis is grouped into three, namely elemental analysis, relationship analysis, and analysis of organized principles.

Synthesis (synthesis)
Synthesis (synthesis), which is the level of ability that requires students to produce something new by combining various factors. The results obtained can be in the form of writing, plans or mechanisms.

d) Gathering
e) Creating
f) Planning
g) Reconstruct
h) Compile

j) Organizing

Evaluation
Evaluation (evaluation), which is the level of ability that requires students to be able to evaluate a situation, situation, statement or concept based on certain criteria.

The important thing in this evaluation is to create conditions so that students are able to develop criteria or benchmarks for evaluating something.
